Our voice

Domestic violence is a major issue worldwide, particularly affecting women and children. In Mongolia, the topic remains a significant social taboo. The aim of the “Our Voice” campaign was to break the silence surrounding domestic violence.

I carried out this project in collaboration with the NGO National Centre Against Violence (NCAV). A mobile exhibition was set up in sixteen of the country’s busiest public spaces to encourage discussion. Additionally, I documented life inside a women’s shelter.

The response was powerful, ultimately contributing to the establishment of a law against domestic violence—an important first step. However, there is still a long way to go to implement lasting social change.
