About

Photography is a powerful tool, and we are surrounded by images every day. I love listening to a good story, and that is how I use photography. For me, it is a collaborative tool for storytelling—stories in which you can hear people’s voices and images that portray people through their strength.

I have worked as a professional photographer for over 25 years. I started as a political press photographer, studied photojournalism and documentary photography, and had the pleasure of working in many different countries, including Mongolia, Thailand, and Bhutan. Documenting humanitarian projects for various organisations sparked my interest in the field, leading me to study Humanitarian Assistance and International Relations.

I am grateful that my work has been exhibited worldwide and that I have received numerous awards for it

I am a Senior Lecturer for Photography at the University of Arts in Mongolia and have taught photography to people from a variety of backgrounds. It always makes me happy to see how they explore visual language and find their own voice. I also run courses for women (trans-inclusive) to create a safe space for exploration, experimentation, and, most importantly, fun.

I have always been interested in power dynamics and how they are reflected in visual language. Social change has also been a key focus of my work—telling different narratives and adding diverse lived realities to a wider picture. If we take the time to listen to each other, we all learn and grow.
